Steve Martorano Celebrates Restaurant’s 5th Anniversary with Dinner Benefiting Keep Memory Alive

Celebrity cook Steve Martorano will celebrate five successful years of his restaurant, Martorano’s, at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on Friday, May 18 by cooking for an exclusive group of guests. The anniversary party will benefit Keep Memory Alive, with exquisite Italian wine pairings provided by one of Southern Wine and Spirit’s Master Sommeliers. The evening will start with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by a seated dinner at 7 p.m.

The famous cook from Philadelphia will present four courses in a family-style setting, giving guests the opportunity to try multiple dishes at each course. Appetizers will feature two of Martorano’s most famous starters, the World Famous Meatballs with Sunday pork gravy and homemade mozzarella with hot and sweet roasted peppers. The pasta course offers a complementary duo of tagliatelle Bolognese served with ricotta cheese and ziti with cauliflower. The highlight of the feast is a delicious trio of veal chop marsala cooked in Sicilian marsala wine, Chicken Downtown with spinach and mushrooms and a broccoli rabe dish cooked to perfection with Martorano’s signature bold flavors. Rounding out the meal will be the signature Yo Cuz! chocolate and vanilla-layered cake to add a touch of sweetness to the evening.
